Finally the boys, Jim and Frank arrive at their school. the two boys end up having to share a one person room. So it is very crowded. They had heard all about the head master and what a great guy he was. Then they find out that the school has a new head master named Howe, who doesnt seem to be so wonderful. Howe comes up with all of these rediculous rules. Everyone must remove the personalized things from their masks, their rooms must be clean down to putting their belongings away in the places the head master tells them to. They are taken away from their privladges of the right to bear arms which on Mars, is not good at all. Everyone on Mars has the right to bear arms to protect themselves from Martians.
One evening, Frank brings Jim home this latin CD. Jim loves latin music so he plays the CD all night long until the boys go to bed. In the middle of the night, Willis (the martian that acts as a recorder) starts repeating the song out loud. Down to the instuments in the background and everything. Howe barges in and starts yelling at the boys, lecturing them on the noise. He commands them to turn the sterio off immediatly. When Frank trys to turn it off and nothing happens, Howe gets very annoyed. Little does he know that the music is in fact coming the Willis. Howe soon figures this out. He starts lecturing Jim on how he us to be the headmaster at a military school back on earth and that these boys needs to get dicipline and learn to act like men. Jim back talks and says "well this is a military academy is it?" Howe gets very upset and takes Willis away. Jim is left standing there in the middle of the night crying, worried about what is going to happened to his friend.
The next day, the boys deceive this plan about the right to bear arms being taken away from them.
