The First Few Chapters

I am reading the book Red Planet by Robert A. Heinlein. So far, the book is pretty good. It is about two human boys named Jim and Frank. They both live on Mars with their families. Humans havnt completely adapted to Mars, but they are coming close. Both Martians and humans live together on Mars. All of the humans must wear suits and masks when they are outdoors because the air on Mars is so thin that no human could breathe it and it is so cold that they would die. A Mars year is twenty-four months long. Twice as much as an Earth year.
Jim has a friend/pet named Willis. Willis is a rare martian of some sort. He is like a living recorder. Everything anyone says, he remembers and repeats when asked to do so. Sometimes, if something reminds him about a certain subject, he will just ramble, repeating everything he remembers.
Jim and Frank are going off to school. They will not return home until migration. As they are on their way to school, the bus takes a rest stop because the ice is getting to thin for the bus to ride on. Jim, Frank and Willis decide to go exploring rather than relax. A waiter tells them that they are forbidden to go Cynia because no one has explored their yet. They dont know what it will hold. Of course, the boys dont listen and they go anyway. As they are making their long journey to the city, a twelve foot martian grabs up Willis. Jim starts freaking out and tells Frank to talk to the Martian and try to get him to let Willis go.
This is all I have gotten to so far. The book seems to be really interesting and I think that I am going to like it.

Your progress in this book seems to be moving at a rapid pace. Do you honestly feel that the realism of this story could come true in the near future? In preference it seems as though the details are very vivid and authentic enough to make anyone wonder.

I do believe that this could happen. I dont think it will happen anytime in the near future. I do completely believe that there is other forms of life out there and I think it is only a matter of time before we all realize that as a fact. I think that one day we will become so advanced that humans will be able to live on other planets. This book does move at a pretty rapid pace, which is one reason I really have enjoyed it so far. It hasnt been boring at all.
